Below you will find a list of the 12 major cities and 17 secondary cities in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area.
The chart below offers a 1 year snapshot (Sept 2008 – Sept 2009) of affordability using price per square foot as indicator. Also included is the price per square foot from the year prior along with a percentage breakdown of change from 2008 to 2009.
Lowest percentage of 1 year decreases are in Sun City West, Sun Lakes and Wickenburg), while the highest percentage of decreases troubled Tonopah, Phoenix and New River. The average rate of decrease was 29.8%.
